SEAL ROCKS WAVES #27 New South Wales 2012
By Jay Mark Johnson
Located in Santa Monica, CA
This large format, color-photograph belongs to Jay Mark Johnson's wave series - the images from which depict the rhythmic cycling and recycling of oceanfront waves as recorded on remote coastlines around the world--in Hawaii, Florida, California, the Caribbean, Great Britain, Australia and South Africa.
These artworks belong to the artist’s ongoing inquiry into the possibilities for timeline photography. For this decades-long project Johnson employs an unconventional camera system to produce seamless delineated renderings of familiar events as they occur over time. The results present an altered view of our surroundings.
Artworks from Johnson’s timeline series have been exhibited extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe. They can be found in the permanent collections of the Bundestag (German Parliament) in Berlin, the Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie at Karlsruhe, the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation, the Phoenix Art Museum, the Langen Foundation, Hombroich, Germany, the Peter Klein...

'Towards your Heart' Large scale Photo. Triptych Ocean, Sea, Blue, Beach Cottage
By Sophia Milligan
Located in Penzance, GB
'Towards Your Heart'
Limited edition archival photographic triptych. Unframed, hand signed and numbered (Edition number 3 of 25)
_________________
It is not the size
Nor power from which you fly
But towards your heart
The wild Atlantic explodes in raw abandon, given scale in this daring dance by the graceful flight of the sea bird.
Sophia's poetic photographs are an exploration of the balance in all things: in the sensual interplay of light and shadow; in wild raw energy and serene stillness; in chaos and harmony; in the enduring and the effervescent. They are a contemplation of the awareness that everything in existence is temporary, they speak of the ephemeral nature of all things. Moments, feelings, experiences cherished and appreciated in their impermanence, for that is where the beauty comes from. 'I work in a balancing act of control and freedom; of discipline and guidance, whilst simultaneously relinquishing all authority and throwing the odds to the winds, to chance encounters and the unexpected'.
Photographic triptych: each of three parts measuring 30 x 20 inches.
Each printing is bespoke to order and can be printed on a single paper 30 x 60 inches. Please contact me for further information, or send a message with your order.
Limited edition of 25
Archival Print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag® paper, one of the most beautiful and high quality art papers available. The luxurious matt finish provides a reflection free image that is rich in detail, depth and tone.

Karen Knorr Artist Biography
While Knorr’s images take some of their inspiration from the Indian tradition of personifying animals in literature and art, there is another almost subconscious strain to her work. Going back to the time of cave painting we see that these early visual artists not only recorded their lives and surroundings, but used art to express themselves. The depiction of animals in symbolic and powerful ways and the urge to create these images with the best tools at hand is a line stretching from these unnamed cave painters to Karen Knorr.
Playfully combining technologies and genres, Knorr mixes digital...
