Stella McCartney Fashion Show, Spring/Summer 2006 Collection in the Ballet Room of the Grand Hôtel de Paris, named Opéra Garnier in homage to the Opéra Garnier on the opposite side of the building.
About the artist:
Navigating between photography, architecture and classical painting, British artist Simon Procter begins by immortalizing the majestic catwalks of fashion houses such as Chanel, Dior, Givenchy, Lagerfeld, Prada and Stella McCartney. Conquered by his daring shots and the beauty of his work, the great designers open the inaccessible doors of their worlds to him. Positioned at heights of over 100 meters, Simon Procter sublimates these events and the architecture of these monumental sites, which are shaded for a few hours in the colors of the greatest luxury brands. The Grand Palais, the Opéra Garnier, the Carrousel du Louvre, the Cirque d'Hiver, Time Square etc. become staging grounds where the creation and imagination of two artists converge.
