Peg Fritsch was a Wisconsin-based artist that worked with unique supports for her paintings, including vinyl and shaped canvas. The David Barnett Gallery collected her work and held an exhibition for her compositions when she was a student and a young artist. Her works were a fantastic example of her innovative painting strategy. It was also the result of a fascination with innovative painters before her like Lucio Fontana, Kenneth Noland, Frank Stella and Ellsworth Kelly.
