An exceptional, fine and impressive antique silver and niello enamel box; an addition to our diverse silverware collection This exceptional antique Persian silver box has a rectangular form, supported with four plain ball feet. The body of this antique box is embellished with impressive niello enamel floral festoon panels, encompassed with fret band decorated borders. The box is fitted with an impressive hinged cover, embellished with further niello enamel decoration incorporating a vacant scroll shaped cartouche to the centre. This exceptional box has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 850 standard silver. NOTE: The majority of such boxes have a wood lining; it is a sign of quality when boxes have an unlined, solid silver interior.
