Very decorative rare clear glass set of eight different size Italian pressed glass bottles. This set is almost completely animal themed, a duck, a poodle, a dachshund and two fishes. But also a pressed Brutalist large cognac glass a petite blown glass carafe and a pressed so called 'corset' carafe. Mention Italian glass and probably everyone’s mind immediately leaps to Venice and Murano. But there is another almost equally famous centre of Italian glass making known as Empoli. Empoli glass is generally much simpler and does not have the intricately applied trim or decorations associated with Venetian and Murano pieces.
