The bulbous capitals are embellished floral and foliate decoration accented with interlacing ivy vines, all on a matte background. The capitals are fitted with the original hallmarked detachable sconces ornamented scrolling leaf and floral ornamentation to the shaped rim in addition to a matte texture and plain scalloped decorated border. The upper portion of each column is encompassed with a magnificent eagle design peering around the side of a grotesque lion style mask. The lower knops are encircled with further naturalistic ornamentation flanked with fluted decoration in a swirl design and tiered quilted motifs.
