A handsome and most impressive French 19th century Louis XIV st. patinated Bronze, Ormolu, and Boulle statue of King Louis XIV. This wonderful statue is modeled after the statue of Louis XIV in the middle of the Place des Victoires, Paris. The statue is raised on a rectangular stepped Boulle pedestal with its Brass inlays atop a Tortoiseshell background within an ebony frame. This wonderfully detailed pedestal is also decorated with an upped and lower Ormolu Coeur-de-Rai band that serves as the plinth and capital.
