Beautiful, and large, vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso light blue over cobalt blue Italian art glass giraffe figure sculpture. The piece is documented to the Salviati company, circa 1960s. It is published in "The Glass Ark" book on Murano glass animals. The piece has a well detailed head, with floppy ears and "ossicones" (the parts that look like horns on the head). The body itself is very minimalistic and streamline. The giraffe is also made with some Uranium / UV reactive glass, as It glows neon green under a black light (see photo). Would make a great display piece on any desk, credenza or side table. Mid-century era. Measures 11 1/8" tall x 5 1/4" long x 2 1/2" wde.

Beautiful and cute, vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso glowing Uranium yellow green with blue Italian art glass kitty cat figure / sculpture. The cat is documented to the Cenedese company, and attributed to designer Antonio da Ros. The cat an abstract shape, with cylinder body, tall neck and large head. The face features are detailed with 3 inner bubbles, with a red dot for the nose and blue to show the eyes. It also has a semi circle on the base in blue glass. You can see a thin swirl of blue coming up from the base towards the neck. It almost glows by itself in normal daylight with such a bright color, but under a black light you can really see how it lights up with a bright neon green color. Would make a great display piece on any desk, curio cabinet, or vanity. The piece is solid glass throughout and very heavy. Great item for the collector of Uranium / Vaseline glass. Measures 7” tall x 2 1/2” wide.

The face features are just 2 red lines for the eyes. It almost glows by itself in normal daylight with such a bright color, but under a black light you can really see how it lights up with a bright neon green color. Would make a great display piece on any desk, curio cabinet, or vanity. The piece is solid glass throughout and very heavy. Great item for the collector of Uranium "Vaseline" glass.
