Anthony Redmile burst into the London interior design scene in the 1960s, producing some of the most eclectic items for his illustrious clients. Known to use items which were taken or inspired by the natural world, this item exemplifies Redmile's work. Using an ostrich egg as the body, Redmile has used glass to create the eyes, hardstone to create the handle, ebonised wood to create the base, and silver plate to create the body of a crane, making this is one of the most collectable examples of Redmile’s work.
