The lamp is made of copper and glass and, due to its impressive scale and rich design, has a strongly architectural presence. With a diameter of approximately 43.3 inches and a total height of about 82.7 inches including the chain, this was not a fixture intended for a modest interior, but a true statement piece, designed to dominate a large space. The body of the lamp is constructed from heavy copper with a clearly hand-worked surface. Subtle hammer marks and stylized decorative elements give the piece depth and vitality.
