A Magical, Rare French Mid-Century Modern Craftsman Floor Lamp / Light Sculpture in Rattan Attributed to Janine Abraham and Dirk Jan Roi. This minimalist sculpture reflects 1960's culture with its pure, natural aesthetic that was an integral part of American Post-Minimalism and Italian 'Arte Povera'. Simple, everyday materials are used to create an ethereal statement that transcends functional lighting and extends to the realm of light sculpture. The rattan outer structure is in the form of an ellipse that is aesthetically vibrant from every angle; the inner light source is shrouded in a cotton covering that softens the light, adding to the mystery of light itself.
