Rare pair of model 228 wall lamps designed by Gino Sarfatti and manufactured by Arteluce in Italy in 1957. This extraordinary green colour reminds us of the flourishing Alfa Romeo Giulietta from the same year, whizzing across the Italian countryside. It’s these colour memories where we fell in love with and cherish. It could be Sarfatti once saw a car passing by and was struck by its vivid colour. These lamps have a minimalistic but strong and iconic design. The slight frosted glass diffuser sits in a metal ring. The socket is held by a metal cylinder with metal screws that are visible. The ring is attached to the wall plate. In very good original condition and rewired. Kindly note that the listed price is for the pair of 2 lamps.

This flushmount Janeiro K offers a sculpted triplex glass diffuser which safely locks when twisted into place, creating the optimal wall or ceiling lamp. Executed in painted metal and handblown triplex glass from Italy, the diffuser is then sandblasted affording this lamp to maximize light output while reducing glare. Made with the highest quality materials to exacting standards by Nemo lighting.
Price per item. Available in unlimited quantities, a variety of sizes and either incandescent or LED versions. This listing is for the 12" LED lamp. Founded in 1993 by Franco Cassina and Carlo Forcolini in Italy, Nemo was established to recreate the lighting pieces that best represented the "Golden Age" of Italian lighting design of the 1960s and 70s. Nemo acquired Italiana Luce five years later, offering a line of clean, relaxed modern lighting that provided an informal counterpoint to the vintage midcentury authenticity found in Nemo's modernist line of Franco Albini-designed lighting.
