Jean Claude Novaro (1943 Antibes, France - 2014 Monaco) was a world-renowed French master glassmaker, glassblower and artisan, considered one of the most important glass artists of the 20th century. He was, and still is, known as the “glass magician” for his ability to innovate and create pieces with techniques that resemble alchemy.
He pioneered innovative techniques, such as the inclusion of precious metals (gold, silver, and bronze) and the development of glow-in-the-dark phosphorescent glass. His work reached such a magnitude that he is even listed in the Guinness Book of Records for having created the largest hand-blown glass work in the world.
His works are exhibited in prestigious institutions such as the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the Corning Museum of Glass in New York.
Very much in the style of Daum Cristal...
