Space Age cylindrical drum / canister cocktail table, made of chrome & spun brushed aluminum base, original smoked mirrored glass top. This table has a very unique provenance from the estate and former corporate office of Rodger Nolting, McDonnell - Douglass engineer to the Gemini Space Program. No doubt this table reminded him of the space program he helped develop. The table is designed by Venice, California-based architect, Gary John Neville (G.J. Neville) and produced in the 1960s-1970s. The top of this table lifts off the base to reveal open space that can be used for interior storage, such as blankets, pillows, etc. Retains the original black vinyl sea between sections.
