This is a very decorative ironstone pottery Large Dinner Plate produced by the Mason's factory at Lane Delph, Staffordshire, England, circa 1818. The plate is circular with a wavy indented edge & moulded floral detail to the inner rim edge . This Plate is beautifully and elaborately decorated in one of Mason's chinoiserie patterns, called Vase and Rock which is sometimes called Peking Vase and tends to be a rarer pattern. This is a good, Mason's ironstone hydra jug with a snake handle in the Cashmire De Thibet pattern dating to the William 1Vth English 19th century period, circa 1832-1836 The jug has an octagonal hydra shape with a snake handle. This pattern is not often seen. It is called "Cashmire De Thibet" and is illustrated on page 60 of the book; A Guide To Mason's Patent Ironstone Patterns, published by The Mason's Collectors' Club. The jug is unmarked to the base as was sometimes the case, but is definitely by Mason's Ironstone as they were the only manufacturer to produce a jug in this shape with this pattern and dating to the English William 1Vth period circa 1832-1836. This is a very rare, ironstone Two Handled, Ice Pail or Wine Cooler Pot, made by Mason's Patent Ironstone China Company, of Lane Delph, Staffordshire, England, circa 1818. This piece is substantial and heavily potted, weighing about 2.2 Kg un-packed. The pot is circular with 12 vertical sections, sitting on a low foot with an everted rim. The two side handles are strongly potted and this piece is quite suitable for use or display, as an ice bucket, wine bottle cooler or perhaps as a vase or centre piece.
