Biedermeier Period Burlwood Table Cabinet Of Curiosities Wunderkammer 19th C.
Located in Forney, TX
A fine Biedermeier Period (1815-1848) walnut maple burlwood marquetry table cabinet - wunderkammer (cabinet of curiosities) with fifteen drawers and concealed secret compartments, circa 1820. This architectural curiosity cabinet is a testament to the ingenuity and artistry of European craftsmen from the early 19th century. The highly figured quilted wood grain, warm rich burled walnut panels, and hand sculpted and molded ebonized wood exterior boasts a dark, lustrous sheen, while delicate hand carved details adorn its surface, showcasing the finesse and precision of its creator. Probably Southern Germany, most likely Augsburg, having a rectangular raised top with visible hand cut dovetail joint case housing a single drawer, over exquisite stepped moulded ebony transition into large double door cabinet with the original hand forged iron hardware, opening to reveal an interior fitted with eleven drawers surrounding a single locking cupboard door, unlocking to reveal a stunning eight-pointed star marquetry inlaid spring loaded niche panel with hidden release, when triggered the niche slides out to reveal a trio of hidden storage compartments, including a deep bin and two small hidden drawers for the owners most precious valuables. Rising on shaped ebonized wood molding, over a distinctive masculine scalloped skirt, resting on ball feet. Every inch of this remarkable antique cabinet reflects the warmth and depth of European craftsmanship during the early 19th century — a period celebrated for its quality, superior craftsmanship, comfort, and viewpoint furniture was meant to be publicly displayed. The intricate detailing, exotic and expensive materials, ingenuity and artistry transport you to a time of sophisticated elegance and refinement. Place this exceptional cabinet in a distinguished office or collectors study, an opulent living room, as a monumental jewelry...

Rare Osvaldo Borsani Vanity Table in Maple with Mirrors and Built-in Lights
Located in Waalwijk, NL
Osvaldo Borsani for Arredamenti Borsani Varedo, dressing table, model '6142', maple, brass, mirrored glass, lacquered wood, Italy, 1943 An exquisite and truly exceptional vanity table designed by the Italian Osvaldo Borsani, dating back to around 1943. This rare gem encapsulates the quintessence of Borsani's design ethos: elegant and graceful proportions, fine materials, and unique constellations. Crafted from warm-toned maple, every detail speaks of refinement, from the intricately carved legs adorned with graphic white lines to the kidney-shaped top embellished with a mirrored surface, reflecting one's cherished objects with finesse. An outstanding element is the trio of individual rectangular mirrors with softly rounded contours, equipped with built-in lamps executed within a brass framework, their crown sockets gracefully encircling the lightbulbs. These mirrors are affixed to a maple panel punctuated by three characteristic holes, a signature touch of Borsani. A discreet drawer offers practical storage while maintaining the table's sleek aesthetic. In every aspect, this table attests to Borsani's masterful ability to strike the perfect balance between the orante elegance of Art Deco and the daring approach towards materiality and streamlined functionality of Modernism. Osvaldo Borsani (1911-1985) was an Italian designer and architect, raised by a family of fine furniture makers in Varedo. At the age of 16, he joined his father’s furniture shop, the Atelier di Varedo, which was fully engaged in designing and furnishing homes inspired by the Italian Art Deco movement. The designer of the atelier was the Italian architect Gino Maggioni (1898-1955) who was known for his Viennese Jugendstil orientation of the early 20th century. In the 1930s, he graduated from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera and Politecnico di Milano, where he studied Fine Arts and Architecture respectively. In 1932, the family company was renamed ‘Arredamenti Borsani’ and opened its first studio in Milan. During this period, he encountered Avant-Garde artists of various artistic disciplines like Lucio Fontana (1899-1968), Agenore Fabbri (1911-1998), Aligi Sassu (1912-2000), Roberto Crippa (1921-1972), Fausto Melotti (1901-1986), Arnaldo Pomodoro (1926-) and Giò Pomodoro (1930-2002). These collaborations resulted in the creation of furniture and interior design projects with a high-level of craftsmanship and artistry. In 1953, Borsani founded together with his twin brother Fulgenzio Borsani ‘Tecno’, a design and manufacturing company that produced items based on mechanical innovations and refined technicality. The ‘P40’ adjustable lounge chair (1953) has become the ideological manifesto of Borsani's Tecno program, and still remains the best known, exemplary piece in the Tecno catalogue. Other iconic works that were produced by Tecno were created by Gio Ponti (1891-1979), Vico cham...

Located in Oak Harbor, OH
Bertu Tables, Beam Modern Wood Coffee Table, Wood Beam, Maple Please scroll down to read IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT OUR STUMPS before purchase! Why buy BERTU stumps? KILN DRIED Our stumps all go through a drying process in our kiln, sometimes for up to a month. We are meticulous with bringing each and every log to a specific moisture level. This process helps with major cracking, long-term moisture issues, and bugs. ECO FRIENDLY In an effort to replenish the trees we use, we plant 50+ trees a year. In addition, we practice salvage logging. Where do we source these? Some of the trees fall naturally. Some have damage from severe wind, lightning, flood, disease, or other natural disturbance so they need to be cut and removed before they fall. Others are fresh cut because people want them off their land. Salvage logging may reduce erosion, reduce intensity of future wildfires, and slow buildup of pest insects. FAMILY OWNED These are made from our family to yours. Quality is of utmost importance, and we hand cut, de-bark, sand, and finish every piece with care.See how we do it here. COMMERCIAL GRADE These stumps are meant to be loved and USED. Each is finished with a durable commercial-grade finish. This finish is tough enough for spills, kids, and holds up in hotel and hospitality settings. This Modern Wood Beam Coffee Table...
