The 366 armchair is an icon of the polish design of the PRL period. The famous armchair was designed in 1962 by the Polish interior designer and furniture designer Jozef Marian Chierowski. Produced in the Lower Silesian Furniture Factory in Swiebodzice. The chairs have a simple, modernist form. It consists of an upholstered seat combined with a wooden backrest. The organic shape is typical of the 1960s style. The chairs are very ergonomic and comfortable, as the furniture designs of that time were largely focused on the user. A beautiful pair of tapestry fragments, hand-woven in Flanders (now Belgium), circa 1580. At roughly 132 inches (11 feet) long, the fragments were, originally, vertical borders to a very large and brightly colored tapestry. The colors have maintained their vibrancy over the last 400+ years, with deep blue, brown, green, and red accents over a gold and cream background. Although the fragments do not have identical scenes, it is readily apparent that they originated from the same source. At the top of each fragment is a bearded warrior clad in golden armor with a flowing blue cape and green greaves. A shield rests on the ground, supported by the soldier’s left hand, while his right hand lifts a spear into the air. Towards the center of the textile is a pair of musicians, one strumming a lute, while the other plucks a lyre. At the bottom of each tapestry is a single female figure, well-dressed and sitting on a bench with one arm overhead. The remaining areas have been filled with fruit bouquets, architectural elements, and other figurative representations. One of two fantastic and rare floor lamps 'Glasschaft' (engl. 'glass rod'), no. 2134 by J.T. Kalmar, Austria, Vienna, manufactured in midcentury, circa 1960. The base is made of polished brass and the stand is made of a twisted clear glass rod which was produced in Italy, very likely from Venini. Each light has four sockets for medium screw base bulbs type E26/E27. In detail there are three bulbs with max. 60W per bulb and one bulb upwards directed within an aluminium reflector with max. 200W for indirect lighting. These bulbs can be switched on separately with two pull switches. The light works well with LED or filament bulbs. The lamp shades have been renewed and are covered with a natural white textile. Other colors (yellow, blue, red, green, beige, grey, ...), sizes and forms of the lamp shades can be customized. The price is per lamp. They are sold individually or as pair.
