This is an antique Tekke torba. A Caucasian, woven tent bag or decorative wall covering, dating to the late 19th century, circa 1900.
Superb example of the Torba or nomadic tent bag
Displaying a desirable aged patina, free of fade or wear
Tightly hand oven in crimson red pile with cream and black decorative palette
Three oval medallions, each with an arrow head gul to centre
Secondary details with sawtooth borders and small shield motif
Dressed with an apron of long, loose tassels hanging freely beneath the panel
