18th century French two door wedding armoire, crafted in pine with a rich brown patina. Elaborate carving is seen throughout, including along the crown where turtle doves appear within a wreath of flowers. Additional carved floral bouquets accent the cabinet, and musical instruments are carved into the door panels. A scalloped skirt finishes the lower edge. The right door secures in place with an exterior metal latch as the doors have shifted in place over years of use. Doors open to reveal removable interior shelves. Age related separation of planks is present, and holes appear to have been added at some point in time (possibly to assist removing shelves?). This armoire shows much old, dried wormhole activity, adding to the aged character of the cabinet (no longer active). The feet show additional distress and wear, and supports were added at some point to the back for improved stability. Restored strong, stable, and ready for use. A classic French wedding cabinet...

A rare and highly important set of four Royal sterling silver Georgian, pillow shaped lidded entree serving dishes, by Andrew Fogelberg and Stephen Gilbert, London, 1792. Engraved with the Order of the Garter. The Order of the Garter is the highest British order of chivalry, limited to the Monarch (Sovereign of the Garter), the Prince of Wales, and 24 Knights. The dishes are engraved both on the lids and the inside with the royal badge with a coronet engraved with the legend in Latin; "Honi Soit Que Mal Y Pense" (Shamed to be the one who thinks evil of it). The pillow shaped dishes below lids with oval ribbed and acanthus leaf decorated handles, the edges of the bases having gadrooned borders. The lids and bases are fully hallmarked with the date letter for 1792, the panther's head for London and the maker's marks for Andrew Fogelberg and Stephen Gilbert. This highly important set of four serving dishes are in excellent condition, they came from a royal household and a ready to grace your table or treasured silver display case...

A rare and highly charming Gustavian corner cabinet designed as an imitation faience tiled stove — a distinctive furniture type rooted in late 18th-century Swedish interior tradition. Crafted in pine and constructed in two sections with a gracefully curved front, the surface is painted to simulate tiled panels in a soft grey-white tone, delicately decorated with hand-painted blue floral bouquets and scrolling foliage. The exterior is finished in vibrant green tortoiseshell and mounted with silver stringing, a vacant silver initial plaque and matching silver escutcheon. The interior is faced in boxwood and fitted with two tortoiseshell lids, each mounted with turned bone handles. When removed, the lids reveal twin tea storage compartments retaining visible traces of their original lining.
