American Stools

Wooden artist/painters stool circa 1920's. Knob handle with steel rods. Lots of old paint and crazing. 12" wide X 18" tall.

This is an interesting little stool! It has a faux bois carved frame with an oil cloth faux wicker upholstery. The stool is in excellent condition and is unmarked.

A seldom seen pair of chromed steel bar height barstools, by Arthur Umanoff, one of the most prolific designers of the mid 20th century, for Creative Shells. The stools are comprised of conically assembled chromed steel rods, in the manner of Warren Platner for Knoll, and a chromed steel circular foot rest with a Naugahyde covered round seat cushion.
