The character of Magdalena Peszkowska's works Series Stand is like an poetic archive of memories, which call for a classification and reconstruction of the time of childhood and the intense experience of time with everything around it. Gdansk - where the artist comes from - becomes a mythical place, This city, with a very strong symbolic potential inherent in its history, needs editing from a single point of view. Magdalena Peszkowska uses her own photos or those from the family album. She transfers them to gray field blankets and camp beds with her own secret technology Then she paints on the used objects. Many of her objects show figures from the closest circle of Peszkowska, often it is herself, her family or places close to her in Gdansk. Her objects have intentional signs of use.

Elisabet Urpí Ràfols and Nacho Umpiérrez Fripp, collectively known as ELIURPI, are the creative duo behind our brand. Based in Barcelona, we specialize in shaping unique pieces through a fusion of culture, architecture, and contemporary art.
Founded 14 years ago, ELIURPI originally gained recognition for our sculptural hats. Over time, our artistic scope has broadened to encompass sculptures and art-design pieces. Recently, we showcased our latest creations at the Milan Fair, including an individual exhibition at Palazzo Litta titled "Shadows and Poems," inspired by Junichiro Tanizaki’s "In Praise of Shadows," which extols chiaroscuro as the pinnacle of beauty. JJ had a masters (MFA) from Prat and studied at Hunter college for many years. He was a master jeweler and goldsmith for 50 years, a musician and a photographer. He made a living working with photography, jewelry, bronze sculpture and antique restoration. An artwork in denim fabric by a French Post War & Contemporary artist living in New York City, Jean de la Verrière, An untrained, art brut, 'outsider' artist, now 85. He sold some of his denim patriotic flag works through OK Harris gallery in Soho in the 1980s, one went directly to Ralph Lauren, according to the artist. He is also known for sculpture. particularly his working model, fully functional guillotine sculptures. Artist says he was influenced by Pop Art particularly Robert Rauschenberg and Jasper Johns works. He was in the New York art world along with his artist friends Bernar Venet, Arman and Claude Gillie. He fabricated and cast jewelry for some of his friends. This has a Sterling Ruby feel to it but was done a generation earlier. "How does my hair look?" is an original piece by Sarah Detweiler made from scrunchies, synthetic hair, and yarn. This piece measures 32" diameter.
Detweiler has found catharsis and joy in recalling her own experiences as a child of the 80s and a teen of the 90s, during what seemed like a simpler time. Likewise, the "Memory Palace" collection offers a reprieve from the strange and complex reality of life in the 21st Century, for adults and children alike, inviting viewers to fall “down the rabbit hole” into a warped reimagination of vignettes from Detweiler’s youth.
The exhibition title refers to a mnemonic memorization technique known as the “Method of Loci” through which information is retained and retrieved by conscious mental association with a specific physical location. In the context of Detweiler’s work, each painting, object, and installation functions as a “room” in the artist’s “memory palace,” with specific memories encapsulated therein. The visual representations of Detweiler’s memories are skewed from reality, like the memories themselves, from super-sized silly putty to hand-stitched static from the late-night glow of a television set.

Sarah Detweiler is a Philadelphia area-based visual artist translating her experiences into figurative and narrative mixed media paintings. She has a BFA in Visual Communications from University of Delaware and a master's degree in Art Therapy from Pratt.
