"Beasts of Burden" (2023) By Andy Evansen, Original Watercolor Painting
Located in Denver, CO
"Beasts of Burden" (2023) by Andy Evansen is an original handmade watercolor painting on paper that depicts horses resting in the shade alongside a small creek. This piece measures 15 x 22 inches and 21 x 28 inches in its frame. Andy Evansen’s interest in art started in childhood, as he can’t recall a time when he wasn’t drawing. He began painting watercolors in the mid 1990s as a change of pace from his career as a medical illustrator. Choosing a ‘style’ was not difficult, as Andy was always inspired by the watercolor paintings of British artists Trevor Chamberlain, David Curtis...

Themes such as the double and the metamorphosis, otherwise put, themes of atrophied characters are all representations of the abject. Berszán’s creation is located at the fine border between the representation of identity and its dissolution thusly aiming to represent the non-symbolized. The dynamic separation and the transitional object...

Theo Meier (1908-1982) View of the Village of Iseh, painted from the house of Theo Signed and dated 48 Theo Meier lower left Oil on canvas, 68.5 x 50 cm In original frame carved by the artist. Note: Theo Meier arrived in Bali in 1936 with the intention of going on to Tahiti where he had been before. However Bali turned out to be the paradise he had been searching for in his dreams and he had no desire any more to move elsewhere. Bali at that time was still a very traditional place where society lived according to an acient religious system and in a luscious tropical setting the modern world was ignored. Here he met Walter Spies...

From Dusk To Dawn - Sculptural Geometric Abstract Metallic Wood Wall Artwork
By Hugo Urrutia
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Hugo Urrutia’s “From Dusk to Dawn” is a masterful 29-inch high by 38-inch wide sculptural wall artwork, crafted with meticulous precision using oil lacquer paint on carved Baltic birch. Part of his acclaimed “Flexible Rigids” series, this work challenges the boundaries between rigid geometry and fluid motion, transforming a structured surface into a captivating, undulating form. Urrutia’s innovative approach to sculptural abstraction and his ability to evoke natural harmony through architectural precision make this artwork ideal for collectors of modern wall sculptures, geometric art, and unique design-inspired pieces. In “From Dusk to Dawn”, Urrutia builds a mesmerizing composition of repeating triangular modules, meticulously carved to create a dynamic wave-like effect across the surface. The artwork’s deep red gradient transitions from darker tones at the top to vibrant crimson hues at the base, suggesting a natural progression reminiscent of twilight giving way to morning light. The carved facets interact beautifully with light, producing subtle shifts in shadows, reflections, and tones that shift as the viewer changes perspective. The repetitive geometric pattern creates both rhythm and structure, while the gentle curvature of the surface adds an organic flow, echoing Urrutia’s inspiration from natural phenomena like rippling water, wind-blown fabric, or synchronized flocks of birds. The contrast between the bold, rich hues and the natural wood accents further enhances the sculpture’s modern elegance, making it a striking centerpiece for contemporary interiors and architectural spaces. Key Features: Original artwork: Sculptural wall art crafted with carved Baltic birch and oil lacquer paint Dimensions: 29 inches high by 38 inches wide; 5 inches deep Design concept: “Flexible Rigids” series, transforming rigid geometry into flowing, harmonic forms Visual impact: Rich red gradient with natural wood accents and dynamic triangular carvings Display: Signed by the artist on the back; no framing required Certificate of authenticity included with purchase Delivery: Free local Los Angeles area delivery; affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping available Hugo Urrutia, a multidisciplinary artist and architect, explores the intersection of art, design, and technology in his sculptural works. Inspired by natural movement and architectural precision, Urrutia’s pieces evoke the beauty of harmony, rhythm, and balance. A graduate of the prestigious Architectural Association in London, Urrutia has exhibited his works worldwide, solidifying his reputation as a visionary artist who redefines the relationship between art and space. “From Dusk to Dawn” is a stunning exploration of geometry, color, and form, seamlessly blending organic flow with architectural structure. Ideal for modern interiors, creative workspaces, or gallery walls, this one-of-a-kind sculpture transforms its environment with a dynamic energy and sophisticated elegance. Collectors seeking art that embodies innovation, movement, and timeless design will find “From Dusk to Dawn” an exceptional addition to their collection. "Untitled, " Seymour Fogel, Geometric Abstraction, Texas Hard-Edge
Located in New York, NY
Seymour Fogel Untitled Oil on illustration board construction 10 x 7 1/2 inches Provenance: Estate of the artist Charles and Faith McCracken Larry and Trish Heichel Private Collection Seymour Fogel was born in New York City on August 24, 1911. He studied at the Art Students League and at the National Academy of Design under George Bridgeman and Leon Kroll. When his formal studies were concluded in the early 1930s he served as an assistant to Diego Rivera who was then at work on his controversial Rockefeller Center mural. It was from Rivera that he learned the art of mural painting. Fogel was awarded several mural commissions during the 1930s by both the Works Progress Administration (WPA) and the Treasury Section of Fine Arts, among them his earliest murals at the Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, New York in 1936, a mural in the WPA Building at the 1939-1940 New York World's Fair, a highly controversial mural at the U.S. Post Office in Safford, Arizona (due to his focus on Apache culture) in 1941 and two murals in what was then the Social Security Building in Washington, D.C., also in 1941. Fogel's artistic circle at this time included Phillip Guston, Ben Shahn, Franz Kline, Rockwell Kent and Willem de Kooning. In 1946 Fogel accepted a teaching position at the University of Texas at Austin and became one of the founding artists of the Texas Modernist Movement. At this time he began to devote himself solely to abstract, non-representational art and executed what many consider to be the very first abstract mural in the State of Texas at the American National Bank in Austin in 1953. He pioneered the use of Ethyl Silicate as a mural medium. Other murals and public works of art done during this time (the late 1940s and 1950s) include the Baptist Student Center at the University of Texas (1949), the Petroleum Club in Houston (1951) and the First Christian Church, also in Houston (1956), whose innovative use of stained glass panels incorporated into the mural won Fogel a Silver Medal from the Architectural League of New York in 1958. Fogel relocated to the Connecticut-New York area in 1959. He continued the Abstract Expressionism he had begun exploring in Texas, and began experimenting with various texturing media for his paintings, the most enduring of which was sand. In 1966 he was awarded a mural at the U.S. Federal Building in Fort Worth, Texas. The work, entitled "The Challenge of Space", was a milestone in his artistic career and ushered in what has been termed the Transcendental/Atavistic period of his art, a style he pursued up to his death in 1984. Painted and raw wood sculpture...

Refraction (Contemporary Wood Panel Painting)
Located in New Orleans, LA
Artist's Statement: "Around 30 years ago, not long after I had started painting seriously, I was at a one-man exhibition of the great Brice Marden at the Fort Worth Museum of Modern Art when I visited the annex to get a cocktail. There was one other guy at the small bar table in an otherwise empty room, waiting for his coffee to be handed to him. He turned and dumped half of it down my front. I immediately recognized him as none other than Brice Marden. He apologized profusely, but I stopped him and said: 'No problem: how often is it that Brice Marden dumps coffee on your pants? They're worth more now.' We both had a good laugh. At any rate - I was certainly channeling his early work when I began work on this series. They are made with oil and beeswax on wood panels...

Outsider Art Wall Sculpture: 'Numbers'
Located in New York, NY
Gérard Cambon was born in 1960 in Toulouse (Fr). He has a degree in political science and is a self-taught artist. In the earlier years of his life practiced and experimented with collage and model making. Later, with an interest in old machines and patinas he started collecting old and used objects, tools, and fragments of items whose previous lives remained obvious. When he travels, one of his greatest pleasures is to find materials in antique shops or ironmongeries. In 1994, he began creating Locomobiles and reliefs and presented them to the public for the first time at “La Jeune Peinture,” a Parisian art fair. In 1995 , he stayed during 8 months in the hospital for eight months (leukaemia) where he began preparing and creating plans for new Locomobiles and reliefs. As his health improved, he committed himself to his artwork and during the same year met a Parisian gallery owner who decided to organize a solo show for him, Le Galerie Beatrice Soulie in Saint Germain des Pres. He has shown his work since 1996 in Paris and since 2000 in the United States (New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle). He is currently being shown by galleries in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg , Denmark, and the United States. He keeps on trying out new materials (fabric, leather, glass, plants, metals,…) that he integrates into his bas-reliefs: traction engines...
