His works, especially his bronzes, are sold in major auctions mainly in France (Versailles, Drouot, Saint Germain En Laye, Enghien les Bains, etc. June 30, 1992, two bronzes were sold at Christie's in London) 2. They are exhibited in Parisian salons such as the Salon d'automne3, the Salon des artistes français, the Salon des Independants the exhibitions of the National Society of Fine Arts, the Salon de l'école française [ref. necessary]. He received the Arts-Sciences-Lettresn 1 Medal and is a member of the International Association of Visual Arts (affiliated with UNESCO). In addition, he produced a series of medals and sculptures for the Monnaie de Paris, and various achievements such as the bust of Dr. Coll Colomé, a monument erected in Benicarlo (Spain) and publishing covers including the novel by Jean-Marc Roberts Vincent's friend. The work of Jorge Borrás is a tribute to the woman [ref. necessary]. Her favorite themes are ballerinas and bathers as well as women in everyday attitudes. Wild animals, some endangered, are also very present in the work of Jorge Borrás, especially in recent years where he takes great pleasure in capturing the wild moment of his attitudes. Passionate about drawing, he began painting at the age of ten and made his first exhibition at the age of twenty. At the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona, he discovered sculpture with Luisa Granero and studied painting and sculpture. The students the drawing section, of the great master of Spanish painting and portrait painter Francisco Ribera Gomez...

"Cover Jar w/ Rooster, " Stoneware, Bronze, & Feathers signed by Ernst Gramatzki
Located in Milwaukee, WI
"Cover Jar w/ Rooster" is an original stoneware vase by Ernst Gramatzki. 11 3/4" x 4 1/2" art Ernst Gramatzki is a world renowned artist, sculptor, potter, painter and poet. Some of his work is in the Smithsonian Institute in D.C. as well as in art galleries in both the U.S and Europe. Ernst was born in Koenigsverg, Germany, in the Russian sector near the Baltic Sea. The area is also referred to as Kaliningrad and is the birthplace of philosopher Emanuel Kant. His interest in art is the result of two Hungarian art students taken in as borders by his family following the Hungarian revolution. One, who is still well known throughout Europe, was a potter. "I shared half of the garage with him," said Ernst, who attended the School of Art in Hamburg. It was in 1961 that Ernst immigrated to the United States, taking a position with the Milwaukee Public Museum. He has lived in Rochester for nearly 30 years. Each room of his home is dedicated to a different art form. A room at the top of the stairs is filled with oil paints and multi-paneled works that are still in progress. In the basement, wet clay sits ready to be molded by inspired hands. Ernst still does work for museums, which sometimes directs where he focuses his energy each day. "I try to juggle the things I have to do with the things I want to do," he said. "One is always at the expense of the other. "I like to blow things up that people are too busy to look at," he said of his oil paintings. "You have to sit and look at things. You don't need to name things. That limits people in their imagination and what they would like it to be." An entire painting may be devoted to the stains on the bottom of a coffee mug, or a close-up view of a twig. Ernst said his inspiration can come from anything around him. He found a use for a dried-up grapefruit by using it as a mold for a clay stamp. Nothing, including an old corn cob, is overlooked as an artistic tool. "I dream lots of things. It's like turning on the TV as soon as I hit the sack," he said, working the surface of a clay toad he had sculpted the following day, using a walnut to stamp out some eyes. Most of his pottery takes the form of covered jars, each of which has its own number and entry in a journal that includes a sketch and to whom the piece were sold. The covers of the jars have small bronze sculptures for handles. Recently, Ernst has shifted gears and has been creating dozens of clay bird...

The Missing Piece
Located in Belfast, GB
The Missing Piece is a bronze artwork suitable for inside or outdoor display. Pollock is referencing life in with the crow and the puzzle piece. "I never limit myself to one subject or style of work and can never say where the work will go next, which makes it exciting for myself and I hope for the viewer. I like the fact that bronze is so permanent, a bronze sculpture is going to be around forever." - Pollock (2019) Dublin born sculptor Ian Pollock is primarily a self-taught artist who has spent his career working in the Cast Foundry in the Liberties area of Dublin. Working exclusively in bronze, Pollock has worked with art ever since he was a young child. His work is a three dimensional diary of his daily existence. His bronzes are cast using a 'cire perdue' (lost wax) method in ceramic shell moulds. In the pursuit of excellence, he has compiled meticulous craftsmanship in the medium of bronze sculpture. Inspiration for his sculptures comes from aspects of daily life, Pollock sees his work 'as a three dimensional diary' of his life; "I never limit myself to one subject or style of work and can never say where the work will go next, which makes it exciting for myself and I hope for the viewer. I like the fact that bronze is so permanent, a bronze sculpture is going to be around forever". Pollock has exhibited and sold his work throughout Ireland and the UK; including the Oireachtas, RHA, and the RUA (where he won the Mullan Prize for sculpture in 2003). Pollock's work can be found in the collections of the Office of Public Works and University College Dublin, as well as many private collections in Europe and the USA. Large commissions include an eleven foot flight of birds for Largy College in Clones, Co. Monaghan, along with many life size private commissions. Pollock continues to exhibit with Gormleys Gallery...

''La Baigneuse'', Contemporary Bronze Sculpture of an Elephant Sunbathing
Located in Utrecht, NL
The optimistic bronze sculptures of Dutch artist Miep Maarse (1945) are a feast for the eyes. Dancing elephants, bathing hippos and playing bears characterize her oeuvre. The images are optimistic in tone and message. Through her images she shows us her positive view of the world and humanity. She shapes her sculptures in a professional and original way. The animals have recognizable human characteristics, which radiate great charm and tenderness. At first glance, this seems simple and charming. The opposite is true. You must have studied man and his behavior extremely well in order to make this translation. A hippopotamus - not a gentle animal at all - transforms into a friendly big lug who dances, dives or acts like an English lord. What is special is that Maarse finds her images so natural that people do not immediately realize that what they are actually doing is not possible. In ''Between the Ears'' the mother elephant with her child between her ears looks so natural and realistic and is so moving and playful. Almost casually, Miep Maarse asks the obligatory question: "How realistic is realistic?" Everyone will immediately admit that her images are not realistic. But what are they then? Surrealistic maybe? Strangely enough, it is obvious to place them in that movement, but everyone feels that something is not right. After all, with surrealism we immediately think of bizarre situations and alienation, while Miep Maarse's animal sculptures radiate something familiar and domestic. Due to the metamorphosis that her animals undergo, they enter the realm of fabulous creatures. The animal sculptures are liberating because the depicted animals have different codes of conduct than the people who imitate them. Miep Maarse received her education at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. ''La Baigneuse...
