Star M2, yellow geometric abstract flashe on linen on board painting
Located in New York, NY
Mary Judge is known for her complex and reductive painting in tempera acrylic. Judge's artistic development has been deeply effected by her formative experience and her frequent travels to Italy, to a summer home, where she built a deep relationship with contemporary Italian art and local artisans of the Umbria region. She worked for several years with the Grazia factory in Deruta, painting for the design market while maintaining her fine art studio practice, until the atmosphere of the factory infiltrated her art and lead to a break with traditional painting and to what she considers her mature work. Judge's work is process driven and could be considered “post minimal”. While the work is formally organized, the works are sensual, and suggest hidden geometries...

"Paddling Woman" Watercolor Minimalist Painting #1 by Christopher Paul Cobb
Located in Pasadena, CA
"Paddling Woman" is a minimalist watercolor that captures the essence of the human experience. Through the delicate strokes of a brush dipped in watercolor, the artist has conveyed the inner turmoil of the main subject, which may be remembering or dreaming of past or previous journeys. Her long, curly hair cascading down her shoulders symbolizes the wildness within us all. The simple black ink lines that create the birds and ships in the background add a touch of innocence and childlike wonder, evoking a sense of nostalgia for a simpler time. The signature is in the right corner, and it is dated (September 1995). It sits in a simple black wood frame. Christopher Paul Cobb is an American artist born in the 20th Century. He is the grandson of baseball great player Ty Cobb.
