This extremely fine George III neoclassical antique sterling silver bread basket was made in Sheffield in 1777 by Richard Morton & Company. This beautiful basket stands on a flared beaded foot pierced with arched vertical pails. The main body is decorated with beaded bands and pierced with wave motifs, flower heads in ovals and plain vertical pails. The main body is also engraved with laurel leaf garlands. The arched, beaded, swing handle is pierced with oblong motifs, stylised quatrefoils and roundels. The centre of the bowl is engraved with a contemporary Armorial, with tied ribbons above, and crossed branches below. The Arms are those of Wesby of Thornhill, County Clare...

An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique George III Irish sterling silver sauceboats or gravy boats; an addition to our Georgian dining silverware collection. These fine antique Georgian Irish sterling silver sauceboats have a plain oval rounded form. The body of each gravy boat is embellished with impressive concave fluted decoration emanating from a central point of the underside, accented with graduating circular motifs to the terminals to the sides. The rims of these impressive sauce boats are encompassed with a band of concave circular motifs. The sauceboats are fitted with opposing scroll handles featuring chased stylized leaf design to the upper portion, incorporating a scrolling leaf decorated thumbpiece. Each example of antique Georgian silverware is supported by three impressive applied hoof feet with stylized shell decorated sockets, accented with a sunburst design in junction with the body. Pairs of Irish silver sauceboats in such exceptional condition are becoming increasingly difficult to locate. Condition These antique sauceboats are an exceptional gauge of silver for their type, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. Full Irish hallmarks struck to the underside of each gravy boat are all very clear in keeping with age and location. Dimensions Length from back of handle to tip of lip 21.6cm/8.5". Width 10.1cm/4". A fine and impressive, large antique Georgian English sterling silver three-piece tea service/set; part of our silver teaware collection. This fine antique George III sterling silver three piece tea service consists of a teapot, cream jug and sugar bowl. Each piece of this impressive Georgian service has an oval rounded form. The body of each piece is subtly segmented with horizontal incurves and encircled with bright cut engraved stylized scrolling leaf designs above an undulating link band to the central portion. The decoration to each piece incorporates a small leaf bordered oval vacant cartouche to one side. This impressive Georgian silver teapot are ornamented with further bright cut engraved undulating decoration to the shoulders. The upper and lower rim of each piece is encircled with an applied rope twist style border. The teapot is fitted with a plain domed hinged hallmarked cover surmounted by the original sterling silver lozenge shaped finial. The teapot is fitted with a plain sterling silver angular faceted handle and plain swan necked spout. The cream jug and sugar bowl are fitted with sterling silver thread decorated angular handles.
