English, early 20th century or late 19th century reproduction of the masterpiece Venus Italica, originally sculpted from marble circa 1802 by Antonio Canova to replace the more famous Venus sculpture seized by Napoleon. This example is a cast (reconstituted stone) work that graced a garden with her beauty.
