Gilt-brass sound frets adorn the sides and front in a 'fish scale' pattern backed with bright burgundy silk. The enameled white dial displays Roman numerals, minute and quarter-hour markers housed inside a gilt-brass bezel and domed glass, signed Hamley, Warwick Place, London.
