This English George II period 18th century table clock consists in a scarlet-japanned and parcel-gilt rectangular case with elaborate chinoiserie decoration and pierced frets to the sides. Resting on a molded base with a shaped apron and bracket feet, the case presents an inverted bell top with a brass fold-down handle flanked by four vase-shaped finials as well as a foliate engraved backplate.
