Suitcases plastered with travel labels became icons of worldliness, instantly signaling status, adventure, and taste. Art Deco embraced this imagery wholeheartedly, using bold typography, streamlined vessels, and exotic destinations to express modern life at its most glamorous. Novelty luxury pieces like this compact translated that ideal into intimate objects, portable symbols of privilege and pleasure. Comparable in spirit to the finest Cartier vanity cases...
