Tiffany & Company Sterling 'Blackberry' Compote/Tazza
Located in West Palm Beach, FL
Tiffany & Co. Sterling 'Blackberry' Compote/Tazza USA, NY  Made during Tiffany & Company's leadership of Charles L. Tiffany (1891–1902).  A stunning example of Tiffany's rare and sought-after hollowware pattern is the 'Blackberry' compote or pizza. Made in the USA in New York, this exquisite piece exemplifies the elegance and artistry of Tiffany & Co. during the Belle Époque period, with influences from the flowing organic forms of the Art Nouveau era. The circular form of the compote or pizza is adorned with continuous raised figural blackberries and leaves, creating a delightful visual texture. The pierced rim adds an extra level of intricacy to the design, showcasing Tiffany's attention to detail. The center is adorned with stylized leaves and an elegant monogram, adding a personal touch. The pedestal base of the compote/tazza is beautifully decorated with raised figural blackberries and pierced trellis work, further enhancing the overall aesthetic. The combination of the detailed design elements and the exceptional craftsmanship make this piece a true treasure. In wonderful, well-cared-for antique condition, this compote or pizza is ready to be placed and used, adding a touch of sophistication to your table setting or collection. The Tiffany sterling...

Colonial by Tiffany Sterling Silver Flatware Set Service 179 Pcs Fitted Chest
Located in Big Bend, WI
The pattern Colonial was introduced in 1895 but did not get patent until 1896. This contradicts the mark, as the dies were made with the anticipated patent date, and when it happened later than expected the expense to change it was too high. The pattern was discontinued in 1913. It was designed by Paulding Franham and was plain in comparison to his later designs. The handle is bordered by four bands which form a scroll with leaf, but the back is not an identical pattern, but similar. George Paulding Farnham (1859-1927) was born in New York City. His aunt married Charles T Cook, who assumed presidency of Tiffany after the death of Charles L Tiffany in 1902. Farnham attended Tiffany school and was trained by Edward C Moore and Charles Gosjean. He stayed with Tiffany and eventually became a board member in 1888 and in 1893 was appointed chief designer and head of jewelry later also assuming the role of artistic director of the silver department as well. His flatware designs were similar to jewelry designs, very ornate, elaborate, and in "beaux arts" tradition. He created six full sterling lines for Tiffany during his time, before leaving Tiffany in 1908. Outstanding COLONIAL BY TIFFANY & CO. sterling silver Flatware set in large vintage Tiffany fitted chest...

Georg Jensen Antique Silver Candelabra #93
Located in Hellerup, DK
A pair of antique Danish silver Georg Jensen candelabra, design #93 by Georg Jensen in 1918. The meticulous silversmithing showcased in these candelabra is truly remarkable, adorned with an abundance of intricately chased floral motifs and delicate beads. The fabrication process would have required a significant amount of time and skill, as each detail was carefully crafted by hand. Each candelabrum stands on a large round base supported by five elegantly designed feet resembling berries or buds. The hand-hammered stem is exceptionally thick, contributing to the overall grandeur of the design. Two gracefully curved arms extend from the stem, holding a substantial sconce...

Pre 1945 Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Tazza Compote 263B, Grape Motif
Located in Cincinnati, OH
This fabulous Georg Jensen sterling silver tazza features Jensen's iconic grape motif, a celebrated range of pieces which were inspired by the Art Nouveau aesthetic coupled with time the artist spent traveling in Italy. Georg Jensen was born in 1866 and trained as a sculptor at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, graduating in 1892. Jensen began his artistic career in ceramics and started working with silver in 1904. He went on to establish his own smithy in Copenhagen and like many others working during the Art Nouveau period, was strongly influenced by natural forms and structure found in flowers and plants. As mentioned above, Jensen spent time in Italy shortly after the turn of the century and developed an appreciation for ancient Roman silver work. He was also struck by the work of more recent Italian artists and was particularly influenced by those pieces which drew upon classical mythology, such as Baroque painter Caravaggio's 'Bacchus'. Jensen combined these influences with emerging Art Nouveau organic motifs, leading him to utilize the malleable qualities of silver to create his renowned Grape Collection. This form of this silver tazza was initially designed by Jensen in 1918. The piece has a round pedestal foot which rises to a thick columnar stem reminiscent of the twisting trunk...
