Decorative French black marble ashtray dating from the 1970s, characterized by a simple circular form and a substantial, sculptural presence. Carved from solid black marble, the piece displays subtle natural grey and white veining that gives depth and variation to its dark surface. The wide rim features several integrated cigarette rests surrounding a deep circular central receptacle. Its clean geometry, polished stone surface and monochromatic palette give the piece a distinctly Mid-Century Modern character.
