The plain and unembellished raised sides of the antique tray have a plain moulded border to the rim. The well of the tray is embellished with an exceptional, fine and impressive hot enamel panel depicting a bay with a grassed cliff with sailboats to the calm water to the far side and subtle dunes to the hut accommodating beach to the foreground. The surface of the tongs are embellished with a paralleling undulating and wrigglework decorated border. The bridge of the tongs are further embellished with the bridge a contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a unicon's head below a coronet. The pinching action of the tongs is guided to the medial point with a rectangular brace ornamented with engraved bud festoon designs to either side.
