Vintage English Brass Toasting Fork with City of London Heraldic Coat of Arms

Located in Moreno Valley, CA

Vintage English Brass Toasting Fork with City of London Heraldic Coat of Arms A handsome vintage English brass toasting fork featuring the City of London Coat of Arms, beautifully combining traditional British craftsmanship with timeless fireside functionality. Crafted from solid brass, this elegant hearth utensil was designed for toasting bread, crumpets, muffins, chestnuts, and other delicacies over an open fire while serving as a refined decorative accessory for the home. Measuring 18 inches in length, the long tapered shaft provides a safe distance from the fireplace, terminating in a classic three-pronged fork measuring 2 inches wide. The opposite end is adorned with an intricately cast 1.75-inch-wide heraldic finial displaying the historic City of London Arms, complete with the Cross of Saint George and the Sword of Saint Paul beneath the city's celebrated motto, "Domine Dirige Nos" ("Lord, Guide Us"). This distinguished emblem has represented the City of London for centuries and adds both historical significance and decorative appeal. The warm golden brass has developed a rich natural patina that enhances its traditional character, making it equally attractive as a functional fireside utensil or as a decorative object displayed with antique fireplace tools, English brassware, or country house accessories. Whether placed beside a hearth, hung on a kitchen wall, or incorporated into a collection of English fireplace accessories, heraldic decorative arts, or British brassware, it offers timeless appeal and exceptional decorative presence. Highly sought after by collectors of English Country House antiques, Tudor Revival, Georgian Revival, and British Colonial decorative arts, this vintage brass toasting fork...
