Modern Geometric Mixed Metal Dimensional Wall Sculptures by C Jere Series of 4
Modern Geometric Mixed Metal Dimensional Wall Sculptures by C Jere Series of 4

Modern Geometric Mixed Metal Dimensional Wall Sculptures by C Jere Series of 4

By C. Jeré Artisan House

Located in Topeka, KS

Gorgeous modern series of four geometrical dimensional mixed metal wall sculptures by C. Jere, unsigned but easily documented online. Comprised of steel, brass, and copper. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. There are scratches on all 4 sculptures, a ding on one, and we have replaced 2 triangular bent metal pieces. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, late 20th – early 21st century. Oh yeah… it’s hip to be square!! And in this case, that is definitely true!! This is an awesome series of four-square dimensional mixed metal wall sculptures by C. Jere displaying various unique and abstract geometric designs comprised of steel, brass, and copper arranged in the center of each metal square. C. Jere (a.k.a.) Curtis Jere is not a single artist but is a nom-de-plume for a group of artists working for Artisan House and well known for their phenomenal jewelry, metal sculptures, and collectibles. This series of four is a MUST have for any wall that needs a bold statement piece, touch of Modern style, or simply an intriguing, phenomenal piece of artwork! Position them to your preference and change any wall from being bland, to BOOM! They would be wonderful side by side in a row of four however, I envision them stacked one on top of the other in a large square. Maybe over a fireplace, on a wall in a tall entry way, or on a primary wall in your living room. If you’ve been looking for the right touch of Modern or Industrial edge to welcome into your home… you just found it! Artisan House artists included founders Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels and Curtis Jere is a combination of their names. Before founding Artisan House these two friends and brothers-in-law had built a costume jewelry business which sold under the names of Renoir and Matisse, two well-known names of mid-20th century costume jewelry. During the mid-20th century, the C. Jere sculptures, and metal work were distributed by Raymor, a well-known name in mid century collectibles, and sold at Gump’s in San Francisco and other upscale retail establishments. Jerry Fels died 11...

Available from Shogun's Gallery in Portland, Oregon for over 40 years specializing in Asian Arts & Antiques. Antique Japanese Taisho Era Kiri Wood Kodansu Personal Tansu Chest with 5 drawers 18.5"H Taisho era, c. 1900s 23.25"W x 11.25"D x 18.5"H Traditional Japanese kodansu (small cabinet chest) crafted from kiri wood (paulownia), a material historically favored in Japan for its light weight, dimensional stability, and natural resistance to humidity and insects. This compact merchant-style chest reflects the transitional aesthetics of the Taisho period, blending refined craftsmanship with practical storage design. The layout features sliding cabinet doors above multi-drawer storage, offering a balanced and functional composition typical of domestic and shop-use furniture from the period. Original iron hardware, recessed pulls, and lock plates remain intact, showing natural patina consistent with age. The warm, dry surface tone and visible grain structure of the kiri wood give the piece a quiet, understated presence. Interior compartments are clean and well-preserved, making this an ideal piece for functional use, display storage, or as a sculptural furniture object in both traditional and modern interiors. Suitable for use as a side cabinet, entry piece, display chest, or collector’s furniture...

Antique, New and Vintage Copper Furniture

From cupolas to cookware and fine art to filaments, copper metal has been used in so many ways since prehistoric times. Today, antique, new and vintage copper coffee tables, mirrors, lamps and other furniture and decor can bring a warm metallic flourish to interiors of any kind.

In years spanning 8,700 BC (the time of the first-known copper pendant) until roughly 3,700 BC, it may have been the only metal people knew how to manipulate.

Valuable deposits of copper were first extracted on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus around 4,000 BC — well before Europe’s actual Bronze Age (copper + tin = bronze). Tiny Cyprus is even credited with supplying all of Egypt and the Near East with copper for the production of sophisticated currency, weaponry, jewelry and decorative items.

In the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries, master painters such as Leonardo da Vinci, El Greco, Rembrandt and Jan Brueghel created fine works on copper. (Back then, copper-based pigments, too, were all the rage.) By the late 19th and early 20th centuries, decorative items like bas-relief plaques, trays and jewelry produced during the Art Deco, Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau periods espoused copper. These became highly valuable and collectible pieces and remain so today.

Copper’s beauty, malleability, conductivity and versatility make it perhaps the most coveted nonprecious metal in existence. In interiors, polished copper begets an understated luxuriousness, and its reflectivity casts bright, golden and earthy warmth seldom realized in brass or bronze. (Just ask Tom Dixon.)

Outdoors, its most celebrated attribute — the verdigris patina it slowly develops from exposure to oxygen and other elements — isn’t the only hue it takes. Architects often refer to shades of copper as russet, ebony, plum and even chocolate brown. And Frank Lloyd Wright, Renzo Piano and Michael Graves have each used copper in their building projects.
