The GFM armchair is an icon of the Polish design of the PRL period. The famous armchair was designed in 1962 by the Polish interior designer and furniture designer Edmund Homa. Amazing pair of lounge chairs made for "Illums Bolighus", Copenhagen in the 1950s. Unknown designer but sometimes ascribed to Swedish designer Kerstin Hörlin-Holmquist. The chairs are made from stained beech and have been reupholstered and hand sewn in chunky "Mcnutt" wool fabric from "Danish Art Weaving". One chair with original metal plaquette from Illums. The chairs were created for Illums Bolighus, which was originally founded in 1925 under the name of BO by Danish entrepreneur Kaj Dessau.
