A handsome leather and walnut sofa crafted in a Country style designed by "Double R Leather" in Hickory, North Carolina. The sofa features stunning weathered plush saddle leather upholstery by Double R Leather across the entire sofa, with a beautifully aged and intentionally distressed patina. The sofa is constructed with a scalloped serpentine crest rail, broad sheltered arms, a deep apron, all framed by a neat brass tack nailhead trim. The frame has a distinctive profile with flared sides and back. The sofa sits atop an ornate carved walnut base in the English William and Mary style, with scrolling carved stretchers joining the carved baluster legs ending in brass ferule-covered feet. The seat is finished with a fitted loose seat cushion in a deep velvet accented by taupe piping on the borders, topped by two conforming loose leather back cushions. The frame of the sofa is heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The leather has an intentionally aged patina as seen in photos.
