Cult Stool, Sculptural Side Table, Mexican Green Onyx
By Maika Palazuelos
Located in Ciudad de México, CDMX
Cult stool/ side table; a hand sculpted stone from a Mexican marble and Mexican onyx conglomerate, remits to primal sculptural-architectural language while displaying materials in a modernist manner. The piece allows for the specificity of the material’s eccentric pattern formations to rein over its final appearance. Each edition; a unique piece. Working with rocks that are endemic to Mexico contextualizes the work at a geological level. Situating the pieces in a continuing and evolving historical narrative. Like taking part in an archeological exploration, working with native stones reveal a heritage of meticulous craftsmanship developed under the possibilities and limitations of local materials. When sculpting stone, you only get one chance to get things right. As each rock is different one must tailor form onto the material, in the way of discovering what each piece hides. Exhibited at El Elogio de la Sombra- Galerie Philia: Mexico City (2024) LOVE HOUSE...

Charles Eames & Eero Saarinen “Organic Chair” Model No. A3501, 1950, USA
By Charles Eames, Eero Saarinen
Located in Biebergemund, Hessen
Very rare and collectible Eames & Saarinen "Organic Chair", winner of Organic Design competition at MoMa. First manufacture from the early 1950s, laminated and moulded wooden seat shell, foam upholstery which was covered with textile fabric designed by Marli Ehrman. A special patented joint holds the wood legs firmly to the shell. Originals of the organic from the 1950s are collector's items and exhibited in museums. They are also traded on art auctions, where one was sold in 1999 for $ 120.000 in bed condition. (take a look at the picture) Designed for the “Organic Design” competition by Museum of Modern Art in New York on 1 October 1940. The competition was initiated by Elliot Noyes, the first curator of this newly installed department. The goal was to motivate architects and companies to develop and market modern furniture for a modern lifestyle. Their participation in the MoMa competition was the first collaboration between Eero Saarinen and Charles Eames, and they won first prize. Besides the chair, their submission comprised a high-back chair, an armchair, a sofa, and office furniture, which they presented in the form of several drawings. No true-to-scale prototypes were produced for the competition. Production of the “Organic Chair” only started in 1950 and was terminated after a short while. The original design had envisaged aluminium legs. This idea was discarded because the material was scarce during the war, and wood was used instead. New technologies were also involved in the production of the seat shell, which was composed of strips of veneer and was to ensure utmost stability and comfort while using as little material as possible and being extremely lightweight. Later on, Eames based...

The Original Swing-Out Seat with Unfinished Alder
Located in Oakville, CT
Redolent of the cafeteria tables found in early-20th-century schools and factories, The Get Back Original Swing-Out Seat is our hallmark product—proudly sand cast and made in America with premium ductile iron. This versatile heritage piece lies at the heart of the industrial-modern aesthetic of American furniture. Build these distinctive wall-mounted stools into your vision for a man-cave bar or kitchen-island. Designers have found they are the perfect alternative-seating solution for their commercial projects like beer gardens, communal-dining restaurants, and coffeehouse cafes. The 12” diameter alder wood seat is left raw for you to finish to your taste, or ipe is available and recommended for outdoor installations. The cast-iron assembly is painted satin black. Our rule of thumb for spacing is “one seat every two feet.” Stress tested in excess of 1,000 pounds. Seat depth measures 12 1/2" when pushed in, 26" when swung out. Width including seat and bracket measures 24". Height from bottom of mounting plate to top of seat measures 10 3/4". Spec sheet and Base plate mounting scan available upon request. The Swing out Seat is also known as, or has been called: Suspended Swing Out Kitchen Stool, Space Saving Stool, Wrought Iron Stool, Swing Stools...
