Antique Tiffany Studios "Colonial" Table Lamp, New York, Circa 1910
Antique Tiffany Studios "Colonial" Table Lamp, New York, Circa 1910

Antique Tiffany Studios "Colonial" Table Lamp, New York, Circa 1910

By Tiffany Studios

Located in Tarry Town, NY

This exceptional Tiffany Studios "Colonial" table lamp was created in New York circa 1910 by Tiffany Studios, one of the most influential and celebrated American decorative arts workshops of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Founded by Louis Comfort Tiffany, Tiffany Studios became internationally renowned for its innovative approach to stained glass, Favrile glass, bronze craftsmanship, and the creation of some of the finest examples of American Art Nouveau lighting. The company’s lamps, produced during the height of the American Arts and Crafts movement, remain highly sought after for their exceptional artistry, technical mastery, and timeless beauty. This elegant table lamp features a beautifully composed leaded glass shade in the "Colonial" pattern, displaying a harmonious arrangement of warm orange, golden yellow, and green glass panels. When illuminated, the carefully selected glass creates a rich, jewel-like effect characteristic of Tiffany Studios’ celebrated lighting designs. The shade is supported by a finely crafted patinated bronze Library Standard base, an iconic form produced by Tiffany Studios that emphasizes both functionality and refined architectural simplicity. The shade is stamped/impressed "Tiffany Studios, New York," and the original bronze base is impressed "Tiffany Studios, New York, 333," confirming its authenticity and manufacture by the Tiffany Studios workshop. The combination of the original Tiffany glass...

Antique 18th Century Map of the Province of Pensilvania 'Pennsylvania State'
Antique 18th Century Map of the Province of Pensilvania 'Pennsylvania State'

Antique 18th Century Map of the Province of Pensilvania 'Pennsylvania State'

Located in Philadelphia, PA

A fine antique of the colony of Pennsylvania. Noted at the top of the sheet as a 'Map of the province of Pensilvania'. This undated and anonymous map is thought to be from the Gentleman's Magazine, London, circa 1775, although the general appearance could date it to the 1760's. The southern boundary reflects the Mason-Dixon survey (1768), the western boundary is placed just west of Pittsburgh, and the northern boundary is not marked. The map has a number of reference points that likely refer to companion text and appear to be connected to boundaries. The western and southern boundaries are marked Q, R, S, for example. A diagonal line runs from the Susquehanna R to the Lake Erie P. A broken line marked by many letters A, B, N, O, etc., appears in the east. There are no latitude or longitude markings, blank verso. Framed in a shaped contemporary gilt wooden frame and matted under a cream colored matte. Bearing an old Graham Arader Gallery...
