The brass material is carefully worked to achieve a smooth and shiny surface, which is then polished to a lustrous finish, enhancing the natural beauty of the metal. One of the distinguishing features of a polished Moroccan brass tray is its exquisite engraving and filigree work. The artisans skillfully carve intricate patterns, geometric motifs, or elaborate floral designs onto the surface of the tray. These designs are often inspired by traditional Moorish architecture, Islamic art, or nature, and reflect the cultural and artistic influences of the region. The tray's design may also incorporate delicate perforations, allowing light to pass through and casting beautiful patterns when the tray is placed in the sunlight. This adds an extra element of visual interest and elegance to the overall aesthetic.
