Travertine Side Tables for Sale on 1stDibs

Side tables enliven your living space while providing handy surfaces to hold your daily essentials, and travertine side tables may be just the pieces you need for your home.

At a time when the world is filled with uncertainty, travertine side tables and other travertine stone furnishings in any interior exude calm and permanence. Used to make everything from sleek sconces to otherworldly stools, travertine is as versatile as it is timeless.

Travertine began cropping up on our radar not long ago when designers were jumping on the mixed-marble trend. The beige limestone now seems ubiquitous, appearing in the jagged slabs of Brazilian architect Otto Felix’s conceptual Sibipirunas House for 2020's CASACOR design event and in the archways of Kelly Wearstler’s buzzy Santa Monica Proper hotel.

A quick search on 1stDibs turns up beautiful contemporary travertine works, from Kueng Caputo’s Half Way to the Universe stool to Carta Bianca’s Gilded Cross table. And Carlo Scarpa’s 1985 Argo dining table continues to captivate. The range of travertine side tables on 1stDibs includes sculptural pieces of the 1970s as well as those designed by the likes of mid-century greats such as Edward Wormley and Harvey Probber.

Side tables are an integral accent to our seating and provide additional, necessary storage in our homes. They can be a great foundation for that perfect focal piece of art that you want all your guests to see as you congregate for cocktails in the living room. Side tables are indeed ideal as a stage for your decorative objects or plants in your library or your study, and they are a practical space for the novel or stack of design magazines you keep close to your sofa. (The 1stDibs guide to types of tables will be of help as you shop for your space!)

Find travertine side tables, travertine coffee tables and other travertine furniture for sale on 1stDibs.
