A truly exquisite piece created by Bailey Banks & Biddle, during the glorious American art deco period, circa 1925. This brooch scream art deco with its European old cut gems, the carved frosted rock crystal, the millegrain etchings and the elegant design. The quality of this brooch is breathtaking and was carefully crafted with impeccable attention to details in solid .900/.999 platinum. It is fitted at the reverse with an horizontal hinged bar and a security mechanical lock (in 18kt) and is embellished with an outstanding selection of diamonds. The gemstones settings are finished with the difficult technique of millegrain.. The diamonds add an incredible amount of brilliance to the piece with their excellent quality. The brooch remain in excellent physical condition with absolutely no replacement in any gemstones.
Diamonds: Mounted in the center in a bezel setting, with 1 European brilliant cut diamond of 0.90 carat, white colorless F color, VS-2 clarity.
Diamonds: Mount in millegrain French settings, with 24 Old European round cut diamonds, 0.72 carats, white colorless F color, VS-2 clarity
Birthstone: Diamonds for the month of December.

Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark inside two circled cartouche, the mark for the assay of the platinum and the 18kt gold and signed, "BB&B PLAT 18KT".
