Antique Art Deco Emerald and 1.29 Carat Diamond Platinum Brooch

A stunning, fine and impressive antique Art Deco style 0.48 carat emerald and 1.29 carat diamond, platinum brooch; part of our antique jewelry and estate jewelry collections. This stunning antique diamond and emerald brooch has been crafted in platinum. The feature 0.48 carat, square step cut, natural emerald is displayed to the center of the Art Deco design in a subtly raised rectangular bezel setting with millegrain decorated borders. The two parallel rows which form the body of linear brooch are ornamented with well color matched, eight-cut diamonds at either side of the feature emerald. The arrangement terminates at each end with a geometric pierced decorated Art Deco style design ornamented with further eight-cut diamonds. All the borders around the pierced frame are embellished with fine quality millegrain decoration. This fine example of original 1930s jewelry secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clip style fastening. The brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card. This antique brooch is fitted to the original hinged leatherette presentation case which has a satin and velvet lined interior. The retailer's mark P Laidlaw, Jeweler, 106 High Street, Perth is clearly marked to the interior of the lid. This emerald brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum. "Rather than regarding inclusions in colored stones as harmful, in small sizes and numbers that do not in any way detract from their beauty, they should be regarded as adding to desirability, for they provide identifying characteristics."     A stunning, fine and impressive 1.29 carat diamond and 18 karat yellow gold pendant/brooch; part of our diverse antique and vintage jewellery/estate jewelry collections. This stunning, fine and impressive honeycomb diamond pendant has been crafted in 18k yellow gold. The vintage frame (1978) has a geometric honeycomb design consisting of seven hexagonal shaped sections. Each section is ornamented with an articulated six claw setting accented with a fluted design and embellished with an antique (circa 1900) Old European round cut diamond; the largest of which is the central stone (0.38ct). The incurves of the outer border of the design are accented with an antique Old European round cut diamond, displayed within organic bud-shaped settings. The pendant is suspended from a contemporary 18k yellow gold 45.72cm/18" trace chain via an integrated, hinged ring loop attachment. This chain may be replaced with a chain of choice on request. This versatile pendant is fitted with an integrated hinged pin and security clasp to the reverse to allow it to be worn as a brooch if so desired. The pendant is hallmarked to the reverse of the setting with the gold guarantee mark (crown), the 18 ct gold fineness mark 750, the London Assay Office hallmark (leopard's head) and the date letter for 1978 (D). The pendant is supplied with an independent diamond grading certificate for the central diamond, in addition to an independent diamond grading report card for the supporting diamonds.
