Located in Woodbury, CT

Arthur Kemp Tebby (1866–1935) English Rose Arbor, circa 1890 Oil on wooden panel, signed lower right. Arthur Kemp Tebby was among the finest English painters of gardens and floral landscapes working during the late Victorian and Edwardian periods. A gifted colourist and accomplished plein air painter, Tebby became celebrated for his depictions of English country gardens in full bloom, capturing the fleeting beauty of the seasons with remarkable delicacy and atmosphere. Influenced by both the French Impressionists and the rich tradition of British landscape painting, his works possess a freshness and luminosity that have made them enduringly sought after by collectors. This enchanting painting portrays a magnificent rose-covered arbor in the height of summer, inviting the viewer along a quiet garden path beneath cascades of climbing roses in shades of crimson, blush pink and ivory. Dappled sunlight filters gently through the foliage, illuminating the gravel walkway and creating a harmonious interplay of light and shadow. The abundance of flowering shrubs, carefully observed botanical detail and softly diffused background combine to evoke the tranquillity and romance of an English country garden at its seasonal peak. Executed with Tebby’s characteristic sensitivity, the composition demonstrates his mastery of colour and texture. Delicate brushwork captures the profusion of blooms without sacrificing spontaneity, while subtle tonal transitions lend remarkable depth and atmosphere. The artist’s restrained palette of soft greens, warm earth tones and vibrant floral highlights creates an elegant balance that is both decorative and naturalistic. Painted around 1890, this work belongs to a period when Tebby was producing some of his most accomplished garden scenes, subjects that remain among his most desirable. His paintings celebrate the Victorian passion for cultivated gardens while embracing the increasingly Impressionistic handling of light and colour that distinguished progressive British artists of the era. Beautifully presented in an elegant gilt frame, this charming painting is a quintessential example of late nineteenth-century English garden painting...

Don Quixote - Resin and Metal Blue Sculpture of Horseman

By Angelo Canevari

Located in New York, NY

Angelo Canevari’s Don Quixote is a 38 x 44 inch mix media sculpture. It is made of metal, resin, blue automotive paint, and cardboard. Angelo Canevari's work is often inspired by classical themes and myths. In this sculpture, he revisited with a modern interpretation the famous character of Don Quixote of La Mancha, in the Spanish novel by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. Almost Baroque in it's curvilinear shape rendered by the interlacing blue lines, the horseman and the horse emanates a superb emotional tension that culminates in the horse's red eye and the horseman's red head. This sculpture is part of a very limited number of works that the artist created at the end of his life. It has been featured in a book written by renowned writer Andrea Camilleri. Angelo Canevari is an Italian sculptor who comes from a long lineage of artists active in Rome since the 17th century. He has been commissioned several works by the Vatican including the Bronze Doors of the Cathedral of Belluno and the Vatican Coins.

By Ivan Shapoval

Located in Granada Hills, CA

Artist: Shapoval Ivan Leontyevich Work: Original oil painting, handmade artwork, one of a kind Medium: Oil on Cardboard Style: Impressionism Year: 2012 Title: Golden Autumn Size: 17.5" x 29.5" x 0.''8 inch, (44x76x2 cm) Unframed, "Golden Autumn" is a captivating oil painting that transports viewers into a tranquil and picturesque landscape. The artwork depicts a scene bathed in the warm, glowing hues of fall. In the foreground, an expansive orange field stretches out, its surface covered in a thick carpet of fallen leaves. The vibrant orange foliage adorns the surrounding trees, creating a captivating contrast against the serene backdrop. The path, composed of well-trodden earth, winds its way through the field, inviting the viewer to explore and discover the secrets of this natural wonder. As the eye moves deeper into the painting, the path guides us towards a meandering river that gracefully winds its way through the landscape. The river glistens under the soft sunlight, reflecting the surrounding beauty with a gentle shimmer. Its tranquil waters capture the essence of peace and serenity, offering a serene respite amidst the colorful autumn spectacle. Above, a brilliant blue sky dominates the canvas, providing a vast expanse against which the splendor of the scene unfolds. The clear sky serves as a backdrop to the kaleidoscope of warm colors, accentuating the vibrancy and richness of the landscape. "Golden Autumn" captures the essence of the season, where nature's colors transform into a symphony of gold and orange. The painting immerses viewers in a captivating world of tranquility and beauty, inviting them to wander along the path and lose themselves in the enchantment of nature's autumnal splendor. Copper and Fruit Still-Life Painting, Early 20th Century, Framed

Located in Genève, GE

A charming and finely executed still life painted in oil on board, signed A. Bally in the upper right corner and bearing an inscription in the upper left. The composition presents a carefully arranged group of everyday objects rendered with warmth and sensitivity: a large copper basin, a green glazed earthenware jug, a glass tumbler, a ceramic vessel, a small knife, and several ripe peaches distributed across a white tablecloth. The artist skillfully balances form, color, and light to create a harmonious and timeless domestic scene. The copper bowl serves as the focal point of the composition, its rich reddish-brown surface reflecting subtle highlights and demonstrating the painter’s particular attention to texture and materiality. The surrounding objects are depicted with equal care, each contributing to a quiet dialogue of shapes and volumes. The luminous peaches introduce vibrant accents of red and orange that enliven the otherwise restrained palette of earthy browns, soft creams, olive greens, and warm neutrals. Executed with confident brushwork and a keen understanding of tonal relationships, the painting recalls the enduring tradition of European still-life painting. The work celebrates ordinary household objects through careful observation and thoughtful composition, transforming familiar forms into an elegant study of color, light, and balance. The neutral background and uncluttered arrangement lend the composition a modern simplicity while preserving the classical qualities associated with traditional nature morte painting. The result is an inviting and highly decorative work that would complement both traditional and contemporary interiors. Still Life Painting, Oil on Board, Signed A.
