Adrian Heath, British, mid 20th Century abstract in golds and browns
Located in Petworth, West Sussex
Adrian Heath (British, 1920 - 1992) Golden Brown Mixed media signed ‘Heath 88’ (lower right) 73 x 54 cm. Adrian Heath (1920–1992) was a 20th-century British painter. Heath was born in Burma and attended Bryanston School in Dorset, southern England. In 1938, he studied art under Stanhope Forbes at Newlyn. In 1939 and 1945–47, he attended the Slade School of Art. He served in the RAF as a tail gunner in Lancaster bombers in World War II, but spent almost the entire war as a prisoner of war at Stalag 383. During this period he became friends with and taught fellow POW Terry Frost to paint. In 1949 and 1951, he visited St Ives, Cornwall, where he met Ben Nicholson. In the early 1950s, he was also associated with Victor Pasmore and Anthony Hill. As such he became the main link between the emerging St Ives School and British Constructivism. He was also influenced by D'Arcy Thompson. In 1953 Heath published 'Abstract Painting: its Origins and Meaning' a slim but perceptive volume appraising the development of abstraction by the early moderns. He exhibited at the Musée Carcassonne in 1948, and at the Redfern Gallery...

The Secret Kiss - Textural Figurative Abstract Layered Original Painting
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Painting for Togolese artist Olympio is fearlessly following an instinct. Olympio’s work is honest and palpable: exposed, raw, and direct. His work is an unfiltered manifestation of his soul. Bright, energetic marks encircle rough textures balanced by the peaceful compositions emanating from below the surface. This 30-inch square mixed-media painting is signed by Olympio on the back of the canvas. The many layers in his work further emphasize the texture and visceral nature of his canvases. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable U.S. and global shipping. A Certificate of Authenticity issued by the gallery is included. Olympio was born into a large family of eight children in Lomé, Togo, West Africa. He began his creating art by using building scraps to make sculptures. By the time he was in high school, he started to experiment with mixed media and collage. He later transitioned to acrylic and oil on canvas. In 2001, Olympio left his home in Africa to live in Paris. Olympio moved to the United States in 2003 and has continued to paint. His work has been exhibited at Art Basel Miami, where in 2018 he was ranked one of the Top 10 Artists by Red Dot Miami. He was also recently interviewed for France 2, TV5Monde, and the BBC. His work has been exhibited and collected internationally. About the Artist: Amber Goldhammer is celebrated for her abstract paintings with a street art aesthetic, blending bold color palettes with uplifting, text-based compositions. Her artistic journey began with pigments and waxes, evolving into a signature style that merges vibrant street art influences with contemporary fine art techniques. Through her artwork, Goldhammer strives to spread love, joy, and positivity, frequently incorporating phrases like "I Love You" into her public murals and private collections. Her creative process is organic and intuitive, allowing layers of paint, text, and texture to come together naturally. With no preconceived plan, her work emerges as a dialogue between the canvas, the paint, and her emotional state. Goldhammer’s art has transcended traditional mediums, appearing on murals, home décor, fashion, and accessories, connecting audiences worldwide. Amber Goldhammer frequently draws inspiration for her palette from nature and the colors of the ocean, saying, “I get to take in the essence of the ocean every day, which fuels my creativity and brings me peace.” She draws a fascinating parallel between her highly coveted paintings and the diverse tapestry of the world around us. Just as a field of flowers may initially appear uniform, upon closer inspection, the intricate beauty of each unique blossom becomes evident. Her artwork mirrors this intricate beauty and complexity, offering a captivating journey for art enthusiasts in search of original, one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect the rich diversity of our surroundings. A worldwide collected young artist with ongoing concurrent exhibitions in galleries throughout the United States and Switzerland, Goldhammer's artworks have also been exhibited at major international art fairs. Her original paintings have been showcased in print and online publications and on such TV series as “Million Dollar Listing,” “Being Mary Jane,” “The Catch” as well as both multi-Emmy® nominated series, “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”, and “Scandal.” Goldhammer’s art is also featured on Netflix’s original series, “G.L.O.W.” by “Weeds” creator, Jenji Kohan.
