Used American Flags

To this date, we continue to celebrate June 14 as Flag Day. 1777 was the bloodiest year of the Revolutionary War.

The poster was issued in 1939 and features a large, waving American flag set against a blue background. "Navy Day Oct. 27th" is printed below the flag in large white letters.

The scene showcases the fort's prominent buildings, including the barracks and flagpole flying the American flag, as well as the surrounding settlement nestled on the river bluff.
