In the early 1990's David LaChapelle (b. 1964) ushered in a new era of fashion photography. He created images that were outrageous with his version of celebrity-obsessed hyper-color surrealism. As a teen LaChapelle worked at Studio54 as a busboy. He would meet Andy Warhol who would hire him to shoot for Interview magazine.
