Finnish modern glass vase by Erkkitapio Siiroinen (1944-1996) for Riihimaki, Finland. From 1970 in dark blue-gray body color with a clear thick base engraved with model # 1379 on the bottom.
Riihimaki was founded in 1910 and became the largest glass factory in Finland after buying a competitor in 1927. It changed its name to Riihimaen Lasi Oy in 1937, later was bought out by Ahlstrom Corp in the 1980s and closed permanently in 1990. The factory produced art glass until 1976 and later, glass and plastic packing.
Its early designers included Gunnel Nyman, Henry Ericsson, Arttu Brummer...
