CONDITIONS: very good with small and inevitable signs of age and use Willy Rizzo (1928–2013) was an influential Italian-French photographer and designer, known for his portraits of the greatest celebrities of the 20th century and for his iconic luxury furnishings of the 1970s. In 1968, after moving to Rome, he began designing furniture because he felt the existing ones were neither comfortable nor luxurious enough for his jet-set friends. Style: His designs are characterized by fine materials (brass, stainless steel, lacquer, marble), geometric lines, and a modern, funky aesthetic. Iconic Pieces: Among his best-known creations are the low tables with integrated bars, the marble dining tables, and the lacquered furniture produced for brands such as Mario Sabot and Cidue.
