Vintage Saddle Mates Dolphin Spring Rider Playground Toy
By Saddle Mates
Located in Wheat Ridge, CO
Vintage Saddle Mates Playground Dolphin Spring Rider, Mid-20th Century This Vintage Playground Dolphin Spring Rider, crafted by Saddle Mates, is a charming relic from mid-20th-century playground design. Manufactured by GameTime Inc. of Litchfield, Michigan, these spring riders were popular fixtures in parks and schools during the 1950s and 1960s. The dolphin design adds a playful and nostalgic touch to any collection or outdoor space. Constructed from durable cast aluminum, these spring riders are designed to withstand the rigors of outdoor play. The material ensures longevity and resistance to rust, making them suitable for both display and functional use. The spring mechanism allows for gentle rocking motion, providing an engaging experience for children. This Dolphin Spring Rider is not just a playground toy but a piece of Americana, evoking memories of simpler times. Whether you're a collector of vintage playground equipment or someone looking to add a unique piece to your garden or yard, this Saddle Mates Dolphin Spring Rider is a delightful choice. The dolphin has cheerful detailing, including a red “circus-style” cap and seat. Mounted on a heavy-duty steel spring with a circular base, it retains its original industrial strength construction. The playful design captures the optimism and imagination of mid-century recreational design, making it both nostalgic and sculptural. Whether displayed indoors as a conversation piece and sculptural accent, incorporated into a children’s play area, or reimagined in a creative garden setting, this vintage spring rider...

Large Period Louis XVI French Painted Overdoor or Headboard, circa 1790
Located in Dallas, TX
Originally an overdoor from a boiserie room at a French chateau, this large architectural was hand-carved during the Louis XVI period, circa 1790. The overdoor is roughly rectangular, with the exception of the stepped bottom molding, which would have been necessary to fit over the door frame. In the center of the overdoor is a classical urn adorned with imbricated disks and gadrooning and topped with a pinecone finial. The vessel is surrounded by an ovate border embellished with bead and reel, an oval floret, scrolls, and foliage. Two bundled leaf swags emanate from the top of the medallion, flowing in opposite directions, with crinkled ribbon loosely twirled around the greenery. An additional crinkled ribbon is wrapped around the garland just before the swag feeds through a hoop and turns downwards. Prominent molding with several thick layers surrounds the low-relief carvings, providing a nice border to the architectural panel. The wood has been painted a grayish-green color, sometimes referred to as “French gray”, which is a very neutral color that can be paired with many interior color palettes. Our Louis XVI painted overdoor...

Witco Tiki Mid Century Wood Carved Fireplace Tool Set with Brutalist Accent
Located in Chattanooga, TN
An ultra-rare Witco fireplace tool set from the 1960s-70s era, this piece combines sculpted swamp cedar, bold Brutalist metal panels, and original wrought-iron tools for a convergence of carving, utility, and theatrical decor. Measuring approximately 9 inches wide × 7.75 inches deep × 41.5 inches high, it offers commanding vertical presence while remaining slender enough to frame a hearth without intruding. Hand-carved in solid swamp cedar, the rack incorporates Witco’s signature chainsaw tiki carving toward its top and base. On each side sit torch-cut, Brutalist-style metal panels that flank the carved wood, restored to their original look including a verdigris patina, giving contrast to the richness of wood. The set includes original wrought-iron fire tools—a poker, a shovel, and a brush—each bearing period scroll-work that complements the dramatic aesthetic of the rack. Restoration has been both sympathetic and thorough. The metal panels were refinished; rust and oxidization addressed while preserving aged character. The wood displays some light wear and age-appropriate splits in the cedar, marks that speak to its authentic vintage origin. The fire tools show use—some paint loss, light scratching—but are sound and functional. This piece isn’t just functional—it’s decorative storytelling. In interiors that embrace strong material contrasts, wood texture, or mid-century exoticism, it becomes a centerpiece. It pairs beautifully with warm woods, stone, terracotta, tropical plantings, or décor landscapes that welcome dramatic form and texture. Its scale works well beside a large fireplace, on a wall that draws light, or in a lounge where atmosphere is part of the ambience. For collectors of Witco’s iconic carving, mid-century tiki culture, or those who prize sculptural, made-by-hand tools and accents, this fireplace set is rare. It offers history, craft, and the kind of presence that transforms utility into art. Vintage 1960s-1970s, carved from solid swamp cedar wood. If you’re into Tiki, then you probably know Witco. Collector’s adore Witco for it’s wild design. The company went full-force in capturing the zeitgeist of exotica in the 1960s. Polynesian, Asian, and tropical culture and aesthetics began to make their way into American homes. Elvis movies and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “South Pacific” introduced America to tiki, Mai Tais and Luas. It’s still tiki time in the hearts of Witco collectors. These larger than life cats are the perfect mascot for your island lounge. We have several more pieces from Witco including a pair of Meathead cats, toad stool, a dining set, conquistador chairs, wall mounted...

19th Century Chinese Temple Architectural Corbel Carved Sculpture Pair
Located in Forney, TX
A majestic pair of antique architectural salvaged Chinese temple corbels, now mounted as one-of-a-kind wooden sculptures on custom floor standing display pedestal stands. Originally commissioned for an important religious temple in China, the impressive large scale wall bracket corbels were notoriously difficult as they had to serve as both highly decorative temple ornaments and structural building elements used to support the weight of a wall. Hand-crafted in the early 19th century, smilarly styled design, each exceptionally hand carved, sculpted, and painted by highly trained artisans. Profusely carved and decorated, featuring very fine quality high relief work throughout, extensive bas relief, pierced openwork, rich carvings and intricate incised detailing, depicting various Chinese folk religion figures and imagery. Rising on bespoke handmade stands, consistenting of sturdy rectangular shaped thick plank plinth base embellished with foliate carvings, held upright by turned column single support. Rich in culture and history, interesting, unusual, highly decorative, whimsical and artistic, sure to add sophisticated elegance, rustic character, color, space, texture and lots of visual interest. Dimensions, largest (approx): Each: 32.5" H, 19" W, 7.25" D. Please note, the objects were sourced and transported both legally and ethically, retaining partial original red wax export seal to top. Display the three Sanxing, in their iconic representation as three, old, bearded, wise men, which dates back to the Ming dynasty, when the Gods of the three stars were represented in human form for the first time. One panel having two monumental smiling figures with hand painted eyes and tongue, the other fragment depicting four figures, seated and standing, likely Immortals, Gods, Shen deity, and other characters from ancient Chinese mythology and folklore. Both pieces with elaborate lotus and pine tree motif, a powerful symbol of wisdom and longevity. Sanxing figures are an important part of Asian culture. Statues of these three Gods...
