Vintage Carved Wood Angel Mold with X Breastplate

This Wood Carved Vintage Angel Sculpture has alot of history. The Manhattan Angels were commissioned sometime in the mid-twentieth century for a church restoration in New York City. The sculptor, Bogden Bogkowski, was commissioned to carve these “angels” for the church’s planned restoration. Bogkowski worked on them for a period of time but ultimately the funding never came through and Bogkowski stopped working on them. In the 1980s Bogkowski died and the angels then went to his nephew who lived in New York. They remained in his basement until purchased in 2020 there until we purchased them in 2020.

We build elegant custom interior and exterior passage and entry doors with a Mid-Century Modern style. Pictured is an exterior entrance door 85" tall and 45" wide and because our doors are individually crafted they can be customized to meet any requirement for use as an interior or exterior door, single or double. They can be produced with all manner of hardware for commercial applications if needed which includes being fire-rated. All sales include pre-hung jambs and units are ready to be installed on-site.
Our doors are built superior to any production line series and all are handmade with no two the same.
Featured above our midcentury Starburst design with solid half inch by quarter inch solid brass bar raised over walnut on both sides of the door. Images also show the crescent handle available which is an additional $750 cost for a single door (both sides) and $1500 for a double door (4 handles on 2 doors) and must be specified.
We build custom interior, master bedroom, closet and exterior passage and entrance doors with an atomic Mid-Century Modern style. Pictured is an 80" x 72", but because our doors are individually crafted they can be customized to meet any requirement for use as an interior or exterior door, single or double. They can be produced with door-closers for commercial applications, custom hardware and also be fire-rated if required. All sales include jambs and units are ready to be installed on-site.
Featured above our starburst design with solid half inch by quarter inch solid brass bar raised over a painted (for exterior) or lacquer surface (interior) on both sides of the door. The door can be produced in any color. See our other listings for other models and options for this design.
